Alea Rain

The deets.

What’s your morning ritual look like?
-Drink glass of warm lemon water
-Writing anything from a haiku to what I need to do that day, whatever needs to be emptied from my mind
-Drink fresh celery ginger juice
-Meditation and mantras
-Make MUD
-I try to not turn my phone on until all of this is done
-Then I walk to the beach for a swim or surf

What’s your favorite mud recipe?
Macadamia milk + cayenne + vanilla, latte style or blended with a frozen banana! Always spicy, sometimes sweet ;)

How does mud make you feel?
It gives me a clean, focused grounded energy I’ve never experienced with anything else, feels like it supports my whole body from immune boosting, digestive support to mental clarity.

When and where were you born?
La Selva Beach, California mid 90s!

What is your discipline?
I have so many, but I’d say Urban Improv dance is my main outlet, it’s how I express and release all emotions stored in my body.

What is your favorite quote?
“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed.” Terrance McKenna

What inspires you?
People. The planet. The relationship between the two. And music, I find music in all the sounds, there is a constant symphony if you quiet your mind enough to hear it.

What do you wish you could change about the world?
Our global moral foundations and the systematic oppression that has occurred due to a lack of love, respect, and understanding of unity between humans with each other, the planet, and all the other tenants of this marble sauntering around the sun.
