WTF is mud?
MUD\WTR was dreamt up to reduce my coffee dependence. Coffee is a stimulant, slingshotting my energy levels, I wanted a more balanced approach to boosting focus and wakefulness. So, I blended masala chai with a hall of fame ingredient list: Lion’s mane for focus, chaga and reishi to support a healthy immune system, cordyceps to promote natural energy, turmeric and cinnamon for their antioxidants, and cacao for mood and energy. It’s 100% organic and there’s zero sugar and no sweeteners added. With just 1/7 of the caffeine in a cup of coffee those jitters are gone and you are left with calm, alert, and sharp but still able to fall asleep at night. The result: you, but superhuman.
Take a tablespoon of mud and drop it into your favorite mug. Pour in some hot water like you're making matcha and from here on out it’s your world, we're just living in it. Some go wild and add some honey and cbd, others add our coconut and MCT creamer, and some keep it OG and drink it straight up. All you have to do next is mix it up. You can use our frother, a blender or a spoon, either way, mix that creation up real well before enjoying like the legend you are.
What does it taste like?
With blend of chaga, reishi, lion’s mane, cordyceps, and turmeric giving you get a sharp mind, physical performance, and a supported immune system, masala chai and cacao do the heavy lifting in the flavor department. It's earthy, a little chocolatey, and slightly spicey. Like chai and hot coco had a lil hippy love child.
What are the benefits?
With a who's who list of ingredients the benefits of MUD\WTR span mind, body, and for those open to it, spirit. With Lion’s Mane added to support memory and focus, Chaga for phytonutrients, calming Reishi for immunity, Cordyceps for antioxidant properties and turmeric for inflammation it's what coffee always aspired to be and tastes like something you can build a ritual around.
Where are the mushrooms grown?
Where many source their mushrooms from China, we decided to stick a little closer to home. All of our mushrooms are 100% organically grown in California on gluten-free oats, under clean air, and selected for their unique capacity to support mental AND physical health.
How much caffeine?
We aren't anti-caffeine but we are minimalists. There is about 1/7th of the caffeine of a cup of coffee in MUD\WTR. With caffeine consumption at an all-time high and anxiety an increasingly popular state of mind, we designed MUD\WTR to provide a more balanced approach to boosting focus and wakefulness.
Can I drink while pregnant or nursing?
Though our ingredients are all associated with profound health benefits, we suggest consulting with your physician before making any changes to your diet during pregnancy or nursing.
How is it Whole30 with oats on the label?
You’re correct that oats and products made with oats are eliminated during Whole30. Whole30 HQ has made an exception to that rule for MUD\WTR as we use organic oats that are used as material to culture the mushroom blend. Because oats are not present in significant amounts in the final product, Whole30 determined MUD\WTR is still Whole30 Approved and compatible during the program.

Perfect way to start
I loved coffee. I loved everything about it but it was making me sick. Acid reflux and a clogged up throat made my job as a voice teacher impossible. The starter kit was the perfect way to get started on my Mud/Wtr journey. Tip: Use Barista oat milk to froth. It’s delicious with Mud/Wtr.

I’m a Believer
When I ordered this kit I had hit my rock bottom. I was on prescription medication for mental health issues and was running out of tools to get me back to bring me. I ordered it expecting somewhat of a change, if anything I hopped I could just not spend as much money on my two large coffees everyday. I was shocked when I found I was falling asleep faster, sleeping deeper, waking up RESTED?! I’ve NEVER had that happen, even before I started drinking coffee. I feel great! I’m still on a journey and I have a long way to go but I can feel the process and I’m enjoying it. The subscription has so many more benefits than just the physical product. Why did it take me so long to make the switch? Rituals, we are creatures of habit and I am certainly no different. Morning coffee was a reward to me in my simple brain. I deserved it for getting out of bed it seemed. I loved the smell and daily routine. So when I finally decided to give this MUD/WTR a try it blew my mind. I haven't felt so alert, clear minded and energetic in decades. I concocted a recipe I absolutely love. A blend of Tazo Decaf Chai Latte, Ripple plant-based milk (frothed) and a teaspoon of MUD/WTR.

Wow! Game changer

I'm so glad I went for it, I'm not one to drink coffee for the sheer fact that I would get anxiety so bad. I have enough energy that caffeine is way to much. LOVE IT!
I did not think I was going to love it as much as I do. Prior to this, I was drinking 1.5 scoops of C4 preworkout in the morning or a large latte. I had maybe like 1-2 days of feeling bleh to transition to less caffeine, and it was overall pretty painless and I didn’t notice it as much? It’s also super tasty. I like it fine with just normal sugar and creamer. I feel so much more energized with no crash and it’s much easier on my stomach. I look forward to it every morning!!! I wish I had done it sooner.

Does :rise contain caffeine?
Yep, :rise has about 1/7th the caffeine as a cup of coffee. This comes from the black tea leaves found in the masala chai. It's just enough to help you stay alert, without creating dependency.
Is there sugar in :rise?
Nope. There are no sugars or sneaky sweeteners added. If it's not sweet enough for ya, try adding some of our own :sweetener. It's the least-bad sweetener money can buy.
Where are your products made?
MUD\WTR started in and operates out of Venice, CA. All of our mushrooms are American-grown, while the rest of our ingredients are sourced from all over the world, before being dropped off at our production facility by peregrine falcon.
Where are your mushrooms from?
All of our mushrooms are grown in the U.S.A., baby. We work with producers in California and Nevada, but only the very best of 'em.
Can you drink :rise while pregnant?
We're not doctors and we don't pretend to be. Consult your physician before making any changes to your diet during pregnancy.
