MUD\WTR started when I realized the way I was using caffeine wasn’t helping me feel the way I wanted to feel. Coffee wasn’t the enemy. Too much caffeine was. I wanted a way to rise that supported my mind instead of spinning it out.

So I got curious. I looked at my habits — the ones I’d never questioned — and asked whether they were actually helping me show up as myself. That question led to a new kind of ritual, one built around functional mushrooms and a more intentional way to begin the day.



From there, MUD\WTR became less about a single product and more about a simple idea: healthy habits create healthy minds. Over time, that’s grown into rituals that help you rise, rest, and nourish yourself with a little more awareness.

Preparing your blend is simple: Drop two tablespoons into 8 fl. oz. of milk and get mixing. There’s no need to add sweetener because it’s already got a good dose of coconut palm sugar and monk fruit extract. Then get creative, meditate or just breathe.

Rich cacao is blended with the caramel-like flavors of coconut sugar to create a delectable and beneficial treat.

Hot Cacao is a blend of functional mushrooms, cacao, coconut sugar and ashwagandha to promote sustaining energy, focus and calm. Because being stressed out doesn't get ya anywhere!

Where many source their mushrooms from China, we decided to stick a little closer to home. All of our mushrooms are USDA organic grown in California on gluten-free oats, under clean air, and selected for their unique capacity to support mental AND physical functions.

Though our ingredients are all associated with profound health benefits, we suggest consulting with your physician before making any changes to your diet during pregnancy or nursing.

While we don't include ingredients like tea in our Hot Cacao, there is a small amount of caffeine naturally present in cacao beans. Most hot chocolates and hot cocoas contain between 5 and 30mg of caffeine--MUD\WTR's Hot Cacao has about 18mg in every serving. Everyone has different caffeine sensitivities, but a good rule of thumb is to consume Hot Cacao whenever you'd normally drink a hot chocolate!

MUD\WTR uses Cordyceps militaris, one of the most researched species of cordyceps. Studies suggest it may support energy, endurance, and immune function:

Energy & Endurance Cordyceps militaris has been shown to improve tolerance to high-intensity exercise. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 3 weeks of supplementation with a Cordyceps militaris-containing blend significantly improved VO2max and time to exhaustion compared to placebo.
